World Pasta Day

World Pasta Day, for us pasta lovers, this is a day to definitely reflect on that.

To dwell on our favorite foods, on those many delicious dishes and on all the types of pasta that brighten our plates weekly (if not daily)….

What is World Pasta Day?

World Pasta Day is an international holiday celebrated since 1995. Also known as World Pasta Day. Worldwide, October 25 is dedicated to pasta.

On this day, we celebrate our love for pasta and everything to do with pasta. Not only the delicious product, but also the moments created around pasta. Those good conversations at the table, making pasta together with the kids or simply the experience of eating pasta. Simply put, pasta undoubtedly deserves an international holiday!

The origins of World Pasta Day

Since 1995, October 25 has been designated World Pasta Day. This tradition came about because 40 different pasta producers came together during the first “World Pasta Congress. This took place on Oct. 25, 1995. Since then, October 25 has been known as World Pasta Day. And we are happy to continue that tradition!

Why we love World Pasta Day!

That we are hardcore pasta lovers should be obvious by now. But our love for pasta didn’t come out of nowhere of course. “Why?” I hear you thinking. Here’s why:

1 Pasta is easy to make

No matter if you’re a chef or just bought your first pan set, making pasta is something virtually anyone can do! It starts with buying the right pasta. You also need a few simple ingredients and the hard work is done.

Just look up a good pasta recipe before you begin, though. Put the pasta in boiling water and cook the pasta “al dente”. In addition, make your pasta sauce and the enjoyment can begin.

2 Pasta is healthy

Pasta (and especially whole grain pasta) can help you maintain your energy levels throughout the day. Packed with nutrients and carbohydrates.

Pasta is a simple product and consists of water and wheat. Hard to go wrong with this. If you stick to 125 grams of pasta per person, pasta is undoubtedly healthy!

3 Pasta is incredibly varied

You can eat pasta for lunch or dinner. In addition, there are countless pasta recipes online. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or just want to eat with meat or fish, pasta can do it all!

All those dishes can be made with one of about 700 different types of pasta. Name another product that is so incredibly versatile….
